Before and After

The difference professional masonry restoration makes. From soot-darkened civic facades to deteriorated historic landmarks, Graciano's craftsmen have returned hundreds of buildings to their original condition.

Visual proof is the most compelling evidence of what professional masonry restoration can accomplish. The before-and-after comparisons below represent Graciano Corporation's restoration work on civic landmarks, historic hotels, iconic bridges, and world-class cultural institutions. In every case, the work was performed by Graciano's own skilled journeymen -- approximately 90% of all work is self-performed -- using traditional techniques appropriate to each building's materials and historic period.

Belvedere Castle sits at the center of Central Park and serves as one of Manhattan's most visited landmarks. Graciano's restoration of the castle addressed deteriorated stonework, failed mortar joints, eroded parapets, and a century of accumulated grime. The $10.5 million project returned the castle's Romantic-era stone facade to its original character from bedrock to rooftop. View the full Belvedere Castle project.

Why Before and After Documentation Matters

Professional masonry restoration is an investment in a building's structural integrity, weather resistance, and appearance. Before-and-after documentation serves several purposes: it gives building owners a clear picture of the change they can expect, it helps architects and engineers specify scope confidently, and it demonstrates that the work was completed to a defined standard.

Graciano Corporation documents restoration work on major projects to provide building owners, facility managers, and institutional clients with a clear record of conditions before work began and the results achieved upon completion. This documentation also supports warranty claims, maintenance planning, and future restoration cycles.

If you manage a building that shows signs of masonry deterioration -- spalling brick, cracked stone, failing mortar joints, water infiltration, or stained facades -- Graciano can assess the conditions and propose a restoration scope. Our teams serve clients in Pittsburgh, PA, New York, NY, and throughout Florida, and we bid on projects nationally.
